Gelato Roma - Italian Gelato & Sorbet

Gelato Roma pride themselves on creating delicious artisan gelato and sorbet the traditional way. They focus on quality not quantity, (which we totally love here at GK!) and work hard to bring you something that will be remembered.

GELATO ROMA PRODUCTS:

• Made from authentic Italian recipes produced here in Nelson

• The best raw materials from around New Zealand (Wangapeka Milk, Uncle Joe's Walnuts,Tasman Bay Berries, Pic’s Peanut Butter, Hazelnuts from Canterbury and much more...)

• Lots of real LOCAL fruit (up to 45%)

• Dairy and gluten free options

• Award winning! (various medals at the New Zealand Ice Cream Awards)

• 4L tubs, which hold approximately 40 scoops each. We normally allow for around 2 scoops per person in either a cup or waffle cone but you may prefer 1 scoop per person in a small cup or waffle cone. (The Icicle Tricycle holds 2 flavour options to serve at a time and stores additional tubs inside).

No appointment necessary for casual tastings but they do prefer we pass on the names of our interested customers so please get in touch if you are planning to visit. Signature Flavours & Recipes

GET CREATIVE or serve something extra special - this is your chance to work with Gelato Roma to create something totally unique!

Imagine having CHAMPAGNE, WINE OR CIDER SORBET served at your event! 

How exciting to bring your own ideas and creative ingredients to the table to establish a new recipe!

You could even provide your own fruit/raw ingredients to make a flavour that really means something to you - exciting!

To create a ‘Signature Flavour’ and recipe you will work though the gelato process to develop test batches, making changes until the flavour is perfect.

This option requires time (it may take more than one attempt) and will incur additional costs.
